Knies Kinderzoo would like to thank the following partners for their generous commitment
Quench the thirst for knowledge
Knies Kinderzoo and Energy 360° - committed to the next generation
Thanks to their curiosity, children are always discovering new things. With the innovative education system in Knies Kinderzoo , Energie 360° enables them and their parents to learn about numerous animal species and breeds at 20 learning posts with a five-level infopyramid. To ensure that today's children can still live in an intact environment tomorrow, Knies Kinderzoo and Energie 360° are also breaking new ground together in the energy concept: they use the water of Lake Obersee as an energy source for heating and hot water. In this way, Knies Kinderzoo saves 100,000 litres of heating oil per year - as a contribution to sustainable development.
Knies Kinderzoo combines its long-standing tradition with contemporary innovations. The new "Himmapan" elephant park is impressive proof of this. In addition to regional ties, tradition and innovation are also core values for St.Galler Kantonalbank - we are therefore particularly proud to be a mammoth partner of the new elephant park.
Knies Kinderzoo and St.Galler Kantonalbank - a partnership in action
For over five decades, Knies Kinderzoo has been one of the most popular leisure facilities in eastern Switzerland for young and old. It is impossible to imagine the city of Rapperswil-Jona and the Lake Zurich region without this world of adventure. At the same time, Knies Kinderzoo combines its long-standing tradition very successfully with contemporary innovations. The new "Himmapan" elephant park is impressive proof of this. This major project - the largest in the history of Knies Kinderzoo - successfully continues the Knie family's passion for elephants and their 90-year tradition. The unique elephant enclosure is on the one hand a clear commitment to the preservation of this highly endangered species, and on the other hand it makes the gentle giants happy and makes children's eyes sparkle. St.Galler Kantonalbank is pleased to be the mammoth partner of the new elephant park. The partnership between Knies Kinderzoo and St.Galler Kantonalbank is based on shared values such as tradition and regional solidarity.
SGKB has grown with the region of Eastern Switzerland and has been closely associated with it for over 140 years. SGKB fulfils its special responsibility as a cantonal bank with various commitments in the social and cultural life of Eastern Switzerland and thus actively contributes to a diverse range of cultural and leisure activities in all regions of its market area. According to the motto "Growing together", we look forward to a successful partnership and thank the Knie family for their long-standing commitment to the children's zoo. We wish all those involved a successful final spurt in the ambitious building project and are already looking forward to the opening celebrations in May.
